Happy Thursday book friends! Today’s quotes are brought to you by Pinterest. Of all places, huh? I’ve tried to get on board with this site before, but to be honest I have no idea how it works! If anyone wants to teach me how to use it to it’s full potential, please feel free.
If you want to follow me, you can find my Pinterest profile here:
For today’s post however, I have saved a ton of quotes on a new Pinterest board. I originally called it “Thursday Quotables”. I know, thank you!
My absolute favourite from this week’s collection is:
Isn’t it odd how much fatter a book gets when you’ve read it? Several times? As if something were left between the pages every time you read it. Feelings, thoughts, sounds, smells, and then, when you look at the book again many years later, you find yourself there, too, a slightly younger self, slightly different, as if the book had preserved you like a pressed flower, both strange and familiar.
I love it when the book looks like it has been read hundreds of times; when you can physically see the amount of emotions and feelings that have been poured into and that have poured out of the book. Love it, love it, love it!
There are just too many out there to be able to talk about them all so I’m just going to leave my this week’s favourites all below for you to read.
What is your favourite quote from a book, or about a book?
